The Wise Owl Day Nursery is situated close to the centre of Royston set well back from the road in its own grounds. The children have a spacious playground and grassed area with their own flowerbeds for nature study.

We aim to provide a stimulating and caring environment catering for every child's needs. We gradually introduce phonetic and number work with games, rhymes and structured play, meanwhile developing motor skills until many children are capable of copying simple sentences by the time they leave us.
Many children are ready for reading and more demanding work. We are there to guide and provide a learning environment.

We have fully qualified staff, with one of our nursery nurses specialising in nursery education. The term before your child leaves for school our education co-ordinator will begin to prepare them for school by introducing key words an educational routine and also introducing physical education.

The team work together to provide a balanced creative and learning atmosphere promoting Birth to Three Matters and the Early Learning Goals. Staff are always available to answer any questions you may have.

We pride ourselves at Wise Owl on our excellent Ofsted report. This has been gained through our enthusiastic and committed team who provide an interesting environment for all our children. Our report is of the highest standard that can be achieved by Ofsted.

Children with special needs, like all other children, are welcomed into the nursery after consultations between parents, the nursery manager and the keyworker. Our aim is to provide for the developmental needs of each child in the group.
