Milefield Children’s Centre Day Nursery is a warm and welcoming environment where children love to play and learn. We are based on the same site as Milefield Primary School, and offer full day care and education for up to 42 children aged from 3 months to 5 years. To ensure that all children have access to developmentally- and age-appropriate toys and activities, the Day Nursery includes a purpose built room for the younger children (under 2 years) and a larger room offering a wide range of activities for the older children (aged 2 – 5 years). We also have a large soft play area indoors and plenty of outdoor play space for when the weather is good.

We are registered with OFSTED and our staff and premises are inspected regularly. We are also registered to provide funded nursery education places when the Early Years Unit at Milefield Primary School is full. All staff are qualified and security checked and the care and education offered to the children meets the OFSTED requirements.

We are open from 8 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday, all year round. You can book your child in for a half-day session, a full day or just for a few hours at a time – whatever suits your needs best.

We provide family support and outreach work to parents - advice on positive parenting, weaning, healthy eating, etc. We also have drop in and support groups – parent and toddler groups, Dad’s groups, Childminders groups, stay and play groups.

We also provide information on training and employment to parents and carers.
