My name is Emma Woods, I am 30 years old and have two children, Bailey and Molly. After six years experience as a professional Nanny I became a full time childminder in 1999. I was awarded a BTEC National Diploma in Nursery Nursing in 1995 and have recently completed a variety of courses including first aid and food hygiene and am part of the Childminding Network. I now provide a child care service from my home in a quiet cul-de- sac location in Darfield. The whole of the ground floor accommodation and the garden play area are used for this purpose.
I am able to provide a school delivery/collection service to Upperwood Road School. Child care is available from 8.00 am until 6.00 pm weekdays,excluding Public Holidays. I provide a safe, smoke free, loving and tolerant environment for a variety of children.
Pre and after school activities include reading, painting and crafts and are designed to reinforce or prepare children for school, whilst developing interaction and constructive play with other children. Pre school children take part in a range of activities which are both educational, exciting and contribute towards their personal development. These include visits (open farms etc), playgroups, walks and games.
All of the children I care for are treated equally and fairly, regardless of their age, colour or ability and they are encouraged to be tolerant and helpful towards those children who have special needs.
