My name is Sue, I have been a registered childminder for just
over 15 years, I am married to Pete, and we have a 19-year-old daughter
Vicky. I thoroughly enjoy my job and made some lovely friends over the
years. I am currently doing a diploma in pre-school practice, this as
been a challenge for me but I am doing really well.
I hold a current first aid certificate and food hygiene certificate, I have been on quite a few courses which include Makaton (signing through speech and actions), child protection, child behaviour, special needs, epilepsy, counselling skills, bullying and working with babies under 2.
I attend local play centres and toddler groups when times fit in with times the children attend.
I pick children up from St. Michael's school, Stonyford Road, Wombwell and Snape Hill Road nursery, as 1 live in between Wombwell and Darfield, so I cover both areas.
MY HOME IS SMOKE FREE
I believe children should be allowed to express themselves, either through playing or through activities like drawing, jigsaws or generally being extremely loud during playing. I have a very extensive rage of toys for both inside and outside.
