My name is Barbara Fox, I am married with two grown up children, and a granddaughter called Katya. I have been a registered childminder since 1996, and before that I was a school crossing-lady for sixteen years, going into school two / three times a week to help in different classes.

I regularly attend relevant training courses to keep myself up to date and to improve the care I provide. This includes First Aid, and food hygiene. At the present time I am attending a 'Quality First' course and 'Developing Childminding Practice' course.

My home is a semi-detached house and the children have the use of the lounge/dining area, toilet (up stairs), conservatory and the rear garden, which is securely fenced and gated for the children's safety. It is a smoke-free setting

I provide a school drop off and collection service StMichael's Catholic School. My normal working hours are 8am until 6pm excluding Public Bank Holidays Toddlers and children have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of activities, which are fun, educational, exciting and relevant to their age and developmental stage. Some of these activities are construction, craft, jigsaws, books, visiting playgroups, parks, farms, nature walks

All the children I care for are treated equally and fairly regardless of their religion, colour, background, age or ability. They are encouraged to be kind and helpful to each other at all times.

I try to give the children a loving and caring environment so that they feel safe and secure and they can enjoy themselves having FUN.
