What Can the Childcare Information Service do for you?

The Childcare Information Service is a FREE service for parents and carers.

As the name suggests, the staff can offer information on a wide range of children’s issues and services for children and young people (up to 20 years old). These include:

• Impartial guidance on childcare
• Information on the Working Families Tax Credit / Childcare   Tax Credit
• Information on working in childcare
• Activities / Play Facilities
• Au Pairs
• Nannies
• Parent and Toddler Groups
• Schools
• Early Years Education
• A library and information resource base
• Much, much more!!

The trained and experienced staff will perform an assessment of individual requirements, and then offer guidance on what to consider when choosing childcare. They will then back this up with leaflets on the various types of childcare available.

The Childcare Information Service is open Monday and Wednesday 8.30am to 5pm, Tuesday and Thursday 8.30am - 6pm and Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm.
